It is good to have more than one version of your board on Monday. Duplicating is perfect if you want to put a specific board on another workspace. This can save you a ton of time rather than doing the copying manually, with just a few clicks you can replicate a whole new template to another workspace.
There are three methods to duplicate your board.
The first method is to duplicate the Structure alone,
Followed by the Structure & Items
Then the Structure Items and Updates.
What does each mean?
Structure Only
When you duplicate a board for its structure alone, it means replicating the framework of the board. It does not include the items on the board, status updates, or what's under the columns. Mainly just duplicating the framework.
To do this method,
Simply click the three dots on the right side of the board you want to duplicate.
Click "Duplicate Board".
You can rename the board from the resulting screen.
Select "Structure only".
If you want to keep the subscribers on the duplicated board, check the box that says "Keep board subscribers".
Then, click "Duplicate".
Structure & Items
Duplicating the structure and items will include the framework as well as the items that were on the original board. This will also include duplicating the automations.
The steps on how to do this is similar to the Structure Only.
Click the three dots on the right side of the board you want to duplicate.
Click "Duplicate Board".
Rename the board from the resulting screen.
This time, select "Structure & items".
Then, click "Duplicate".
Structure, Items & Updates
To do this method is also similar to the previous methods. The difference is when you duplicate structure, items, and updates, this will copy the framework, all items, and updates from the original board. In the Update section, you will be able to see a "Duplicated update" so you'd know that the board was duplicated from an original board. You'll also be able to reply and like a comment, and all the automations from the original board will be copied and will be active as well.
Follow these steps to do this method.
Click the three dots on the right side of the board you want to duplicate.
Click "Duplicate Board".
Again, rename the board.
Now, select "Structure, Items & Updates".
You may check the "Keep board subscribers".
Then, finally click "Duplicate".
